Sihanoukville Provincial Administration Requests Stakeholders to Prepare for Upcoming Sea Festival

SIHANOUKVILLE: The Sihanoukville Provincial Administration has appealed to the relevant authorities and institutions to organize public order and improve the surrounding environment in preparation for the 9th Sea Festival and the General Assembly of the Most Beautiful Beach Clubs in The World next month.

The Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration released a directive on Monday, 10 October 2022, stating that the Royal Government of Cambodia will be hosting the 9th Sea Festival and the General Assembly of the Most Beautiful Beach Clubs in the World from 9-14 December 2022.

The provincial administration has called on the relevant authorities and institutions to participate in maintaining public order and promoting the improvement of the beauty and hygiene of the surrounding environment, as well as to enhance the prestige of Sihanoukville province, which is designated as a multi-model special economic zone.

At the same time, the administration has also instructed all municipal and district administrations to disseminate information and inspire citizens and all landowners to clean and sanitize the environment in front of their respective residences.

The directors of different departments around the province, the owners of hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, bars, companies, factories, enterprises, private banks, private microfinance institutions and educational institutions must also participate in keeping the surrounding environment clean, and should decorate their respective buildings with bright lights to enhance their outer appearance.

The municipal administration, relevant authorities, beach business owners, KSWN garbage collection companies, and all citizens are urged to participate in cleaning and maintaining the province's environment to be beautiful.

The Department of Tourism and the Provincial Information must widely disseminate information about the Sea Festival and the General Assembly of the Most Beautiful Beach Clubs in the World to the public, people, and the press.

Finally, the municipal authorities and armed forces at all levels must cooperate to maintain security, public and social order, and orderly traffic to ensure the safety of both national and international guests who will come to attend and enjoy these events.
